Kankakee Fire Department personnel were called to a fire in a three-unit apartment building early this morning. Kankakee Fire Chief Bryan LaRoche says firefighters were called to the fire in the 600 block of East Station Street just after 2:30 this morning and battled the blaze for more than two and a half hours. One of the occupants of the building was injured and three families were displaced. Firefighters from Bourbonnais, Bradley and Limestone were called in to help. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
