Kankakee City Police investigate battery

Kankakee City Police were called to the 200 block of South Curtis Sunday night for a report of a battery in progress. When they got there, police were told two people had jumped the victim and stole her cell phone and bag containing her ID and credit cards, before leaving the scene.
