If you live in the City of Kankakee, the Fire Department wants you to know they have a smoke detector with your name on it. Fire Department Lieutenant Enrique Czako is in charge of Emergency Operations and Community Risk Reduction for the Department and he says the City is expanding the smoke detector program
Czako says the department has added carbon monoxide detectors to the program as well
The program is for those living in the City of Kankakee. Czako adds the department hopes to hold a household hazardous waste drop off to the City sometime this year as well.
