Cicero Carjacking Ends With Crash in Kankakee

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police report a carjacking in Cicero Saturday night ended with a crash in Kankakee. According to reports, the silver Acura was carjacked Saturday night and had been spotted southbound on I-57. Just before 10:30 a County Sheriff’s Deputy reported seeing the car on Kennedy Drive near Curtis and gave chase. The car accelerated and lead police on a chase through the neighborhood that ended when the car crashed into two parked cars on Curtis. When officers got to the scene the alleged carjacker had run off, but officers say they found a gun, two cell phones and the keys to the car nearby. State Police are looking for the suspected carjacker.
