Arrest made in connection with DeMotte armed robbery

Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Police report two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Family Express near DeMotte in late October have been arrested in connection with a homicide in Worth, Indiana. In a Facebook post, Deputies say 22-year-old Tamara J. Johnson and 23-year-old Jason Jerry Joseph Johnson, both of LaFayette, Indiana – were arrested Sunday in connection with a shooting Saturday in Worth that took a person’s life. Tamara and Jason Johnson were reportedly wanted for a series of recent armed robberies in both the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana. Worth Indiana is near Indianapolis.
