Roy Gregory (Mornings 5a-10a)

Name:

Roy Gregory

Bradley, IL

Years in Radio:

Let’s just say I was spinning records on turntables before CD’s and computers

What I love about Working in Radio:

“Very few people can say they love what they do. I’m one of the few who enjoys waking up with all my radio friends and looks forward to keeping everyone in touch with what’s happening in our world. My job is to put a smile on your face no matter what your day might look like.”

Outside of Work I am Usually:

Chicago Cubs Games! (I was a season ticket holder until 2022) Also, I love classic muscle cars and the latest fascination is with Ford Mustangs. My current vehicle is a 2008 Saleen Mustang GT Red Flag edition that boasts over 465 supercharged horsepower, although I’ve owned over 25 different sports cars throughout the years. I also own the world’s cutest dog Wrigley.

Something Most People Don’t Know about Me:

I used to own an RV and traveled all over the U.S. attending sporting events and checking out the many awesome sights in our great country. My favorite trips have been to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Washington D.C., parts of Wisconsin including Lambeau Field for a Bears vs. Packers game (ask me what happened on that trip when you see me!). I love exploring new places and new restaurants. I am a “foody” for sure

My Favorite Musicians/Artists:

Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, Eric Gales, Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets, Van Halen, AC/DC, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, & Chris Stapleton.

Favorite Quotes:

“You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life”   ZIG ZIGLAR

“There’s never a shortage of stupidity”  ROY GREGORY
