Catalytic Converters stolen off BESD 53 buses force school cancelation

Kids in the Bourbonnais Elementary School District got an unexpected day off today. A message to parents says that sometime overnight, someone broke into the bus barn on Career Center road and stole the catalytic converters off of all the school buses, leaving them inoperable. Local law enforcement is investigating the theft. Bourbonnais Police say they have no suspect information to release at this time.
