Kankakee City Police investigate a pair of armed robberies

Kankakee City Police report an armed robbery Monday morning. According to reports, it was just after 10:30 yesterday morning when officers were called to the 800 block of West Jeffery, where they spoke to a woman who said a man had walked into the store, threatened her with a knife and robbed her of all the money in the cash drawer. The victim said the man then took off on foot. Then just before 5:30 this morning, City Police report a man entered a store in the 900 block of West Station, pulled a knife and took an unknown amount of cash from the till, before leaving the store in an unknown direction. Investigators say the two robberies may be connected.
