Joliet man Killed in Friday Night Crash Near Beecher

Will County authorities have identified the man who died when his car crashed with another car and a semi Friday evening on Route 1 and County Line Road near Beecher. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers says 47-year-old Manuel S. Del Toro was killed in the crash Friday night.  In a Facebook Post, Beecher Fire Protection District Chief Joseph Falaschetti says it was just after three Friday afternoon when crews were called to the crash involving two cars and a semi. The post goes on to say one of the cars was on fire with the driver trapped inside. When they got there, Beecher firefighters with the help of Grant Park Fire put out the flames. Reports say there were four people involved in the crash. The other three refused treatment while Del Toro died at the scene. No other details are available at this time.
