State Police Make Arrest After I-57 Chase

State Police report one person is in custody after a chase on I-57 Saturday morning. According to reports, a State Trooper tried to stop a car on the interstate near Paxton just before noon Saturday. Instead of stopping the driver of the car took off and led troopers on a chase up I-57 to the 308 exit on the south side of Kankakee. A Kankakee County Sheriff’s Deputy reportedly spotted the car near the gas station at the exit and the driver reportedly hit the Sheriff’s Department squad car with his car. The unidentified driver was taken into custody. There were not thought to have been any serious injuries from the crash.
