Former Gibson City Teacher Sentenced

A former Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley teacher is pleading guilty to sexually abusing a student.  Robert Dinkins was sentenced to four-years in prison after entering a guilty plea to aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  Dinkins was arrested last June in Macon, Georgia on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  An investigation was launched last March after the parents of a GCMS student said their child had received concerning texts from Dinkins.  The investigation found that Dinkins had participated in sexual activities with a high-school age student.
