Rantoul man Gets 200 Years in Prison

A 24-year-old Rantoul man has been sentenced to two centuries in prison after he was found guilty of child pornography charges. In November of 2024, Garrett L Moore of Rantoul was arrested by officers from Fairbury and El Paso following an investigation that found Moore had been in conversation with several children and had made arrangements to meet them for sexual purposes. As part of the communication Moore had sent the kids multiple videos showing pornography with victims under 13 years old. After pleading guilty to 15 counts of distributing child pornography, a McClean County Judge Wednesday sentenced Moore to 120 years in prison, to run consecutively with a 95-year sentence he had already received for similar charges in Livingston County.
