Kankakee City Police Make gun Arrest

Kankakee City Police report a gun arrest. According to reports, it was just before 12:30 Saturday afternoon when officers were called to a home in the 200 block of South Evergreen Avenue by a woman who said she’d been threatened by a man with a gun. When they got there, officers say they found a car parked out in front of the home and 40-year-old Robert E Hatten standing outside the car. The victim told police she and Hatten had an argument a few days ago and she told him not to come back, but he’d returned Saturday afternoon with a gun. Reports say officers didn’t find a gun on Hatten, but a search of the car allegedly turned up a handgun on the passenger side of the car. City Police arrested Hatten for aggravated unlawful use of s weapon and possession of a weapon by a felon among other charges.
