Kankakee City Police Report Drug Arrest

A traffic stop Tuesday night netted Kankakee City Police a drug arrest. According to reports, City Police stopped the car on North Schuyler Avenue just before 7:30 Tuesday night for only having one headlight. A check found the driver of the car, identified as 65-year-old Eric L Samuels, was wanted on an outstanding warrant. While taking Samuels into custody, a search of his car allegedly turned up a large amount of crack cocaine. City Police arrested Samuels for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver among other charges.
