Bears Stadium Saga Continues

The new stadium saga continues for the Bears.  Illinois’s House Public Finance Committee advanced a bill yesterday that would freeze property taxes for mega projects like a Bears stadium in Arlington Heights.  However, the House of Representatives didn’t vote on the measure and won’t meet again in Springfield until March 18th.  Meanwhile in Indiana, Governor Mike Braun signed a bill that creates the framework to build a new stadium in Hammond.  Afterwards, the Bears released a statement saying they’re grateful for the leadership reflected by Governor Braun signing the bill.
