Kankakee County Sherriff’s Police Arrest Aroma Park man in Connection to Shooting Friday Morning

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police report the arrest of an Aroma Park man early this morning. In a press release, Deputies say they were called to the area of Strasma South Drive in Aroma Park just before 1:30 this morning for a report of shots fired. When they got there, deputies say they heard an additional shot and sent up a drone with thermal imaging to see what was going on. The drone allegedly caught 69-year-old Michael C. Setticosi trying to hide multiple firearms above a porch near a gutter. Police say Setticosi refused when asked to surrender the firearms, but eventually surrendered to authorities without incident. It’s thought an ongoing dispute with neighbors may have led to the incident. Police say they took custody of several firearms and there were no reports of damage or injuries from the shooting. Setticosi was arrested by Deputies for aggravated discharge of a firearm among other charges.
