Kankakee City Police report an arrest in connection with a shots fired incident from last week. According to reports, it was about a quarter past four last Tuesday afternoon when officers were called to the 400 block of North Cottage Avenue for a report that a man had been shot at during an argument. The victim allegedly told police he had been involved in an argument with 36-year-old Lionel D. Watson Jr. while performing contract work at the home. During the argument, Watson allegedly retrieved a firearm and began firing shots at the victim. The victim said he got in his car and left and Watson allegedly followed him firing multiple rounds. A nearby home and the victim’s car were struck by the gunfire. Watson was arrested Friday by City police, charged with Aggravated Discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle among other charges.
