Polar Plunge in Manteno Saturday

The Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois takes place tomorrow at the Manteno Sportman’s Club. Law enforcement agencies and individuals from all over the area with plunge into the cold waters of Lake Manteno to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois. This year’s goal is to raise 210-thousand dollars. Over 166-thousand has been raised so far. The Manteno Police Department has exceed their goal of raising two-thousand dollars while the Bourbonnais Police Department is about two-thousand dollars shy of reaching their six-thousand dollar goal. The plunge begins at 2 tomorrow afternoon in Manteno.
