Gas prices have taken a bit of a jump across Illinois. Today’s numbers from Triple-A show the average cost for a gallon of gas at three-dollars-52 cents across the Land of Lincoln, that’s up nearly 50 cents in the past week. In the Kankakee area, Triple-A says gas is running 3.36 on average, up seven cents overnight and up some 50 cents in the past week. Triple-A says gas is running 3.31 on average in Iroquois County, it’s 3.32 in Ford County and 3.62 in Will County.
Across the state line, a gallon of gas is running 3.22 on average in Newton County, it’s 3.41 on average in Benton County and 3.40 in Jasper County. Triple-A says gas is averaging three-dollars-47 cents a gallon across the Hoosier State.
