As the clean-up continues following Tuesday night’s tornado, Kankakee County authorities have announced their plans for removal of debris from the Aroma Park area. The county asks everything be ready for removal by next Wednesday and items be places in one of four categories for pick up. What they call “white goods”, things like refrigerators, washers and dryers, e-waste, general construction debris and recyclable materials. The also ask that everyone, including contractors park on alternate sides of the road, depending on the day of the week. They ask everyone in the Aroma Park area park on the even side of the road on even numbered days and odd side of the road on odd numbered days. They say alternate side of the road parking will make traffic flow more easily through the area and should reduce the number of road obstructions.
