Gas Prices Continue to Climb

Gas prices continue to jump. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas today across the Land of Lincoln is four-dollars and four cents. That’s up another 11 cents overnight and 25 cents in just two days. Things aren’t much better in Kankakee County where Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back three-dollars and 95 cents on average. That’s up another nine cents overnight, and a dollar-11 cents more expensive than at this time in February. Gas is running 3.91 on average in both Iroquois and Ford Counties and 4.11 in Will County.

Across the state line, Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back three-dollars-75 cents on average in Newton County. It’s 3.82 a gallon in Benton County and 3.84 on average in Jasper County. A gallon of gas is running three-dollars-82 cents a gallon on average across the Hoosier State.
