Kankakee City Council unanimously passed a resolution to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with local tourism bureau, Visit Kankakee County, Monday night. The four year agreement will cost the city an annual base pay of 70-thousand dollars with a three precent increase each year, plus 5-thousand dollars per hotel in city limits. There’s also a potential for a 8 point two-five short term rental tax which would bring in about forty-thousand dollars annually.
