Manteno Village Board doesn’t allow for remote attendance of meetings

A remote attendance ordinance for the Village of Manteno once again failed to pass last night at the Village of Manteno Board meeting. The ordinance, which was introduced with the intent  to allow board members to attend meetings through online methods, failed to gain a second motion to send it to a vote. The ordinance has previously been tabled due to a lack of clarity on how it would be implemented and enforced. There is not a timetable as to when future discussion will be held on the ordinance.
