KCC named “Military Friendly”

Kankakee Community College has earned a gold ranking as a 2026 Military Friendly® School. In a press release, KCC says they are one of 71 small community colleges across the nation, and only 12 in Illinois, with a gold ranking in the 2026 guide to Military Friendly Schools, published in conjunction with G.I. Jobs magazine. KCC’s office of financial aid says 37 veterans enrolled during the 2025-2026 school year and 49 military connected students are utilizing Veteran’s Administration Education benefits. KCC will be included in the 2026-2027 Guide to Schools® in the April issue of Military Friendly G.I. Jobs® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
