Bread recall hits Illinois

A massive recall of bread has hit 10 states, including Illinois. The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of 25-thousand cases of frozen focaccia bread and pizza because they could contain metal fragments from roasted tomatoes. The recall affects the Fredericks by Meijer brand as well as Bakkavor products from Trader Joes, Fresh & Simple and Hello Fresh. The affected product has used by dates from April 27th 2026 to October 15th, 2026. If you have some of the affected product you’re not to eat it, but instead return it for a refund or just throw it away.
