Village of Gardner handing policing responsibilities over to the Grundy County Sheriff’s office

The Village of Gardner is handing policing responsibilities over to the Grundy County Sheriff’s office.  At this week’s village board meeting, the board approved an intergovernmental agreement with Grundy County for an 8 year contract to handle policing services in Gardner.  The new contract includes a 3 percent increase in each year of the contract.
