Braidwood Man Arrested Going 65mph over Limit

A Braidwood man was arrested Friday after he was clocked doing 100 miles an hour in a 35 zone on Larkin Ave. in Joliet. Police say during the ensuing chase 25 year old Justin Grandys was driving on the median to pass traffic with sparks coming from under the car. Grandys eventually hit another vehicle and then a tree. He and a passenger were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Grandys has been charged with aggravated fleeing, DUI involving drugs and alcohol and DUI Reckless driving.
