Jeremy Boshears trial continues today in Will County Court

The trial of 36 year old Jeremy Boshears continues today in Will County Court.  In testimony Monday, the jury heard from the residents of a farm in St Anne where the body of 24 year old Katie Kearns was found in the back of her jeep in a pole barn.   The couple who lived testified that Boshears showed up at the home the night of the murder claiming the jeep he was driving wouldn’t start.  The three of them then pushed the vehicle into the barn and the husband, a former member of the Outlaws club in Joliet the same group Boshears was a member of, gave him a ride home.  A couple of day’s later police found Kearns’ body in the jeep dead from a gunshot wound to the head.  Prosecutors claim she was shot by her then boyfriend Boshears in a jealous rage.  The defense claims Kearns killed herself.
