Congresswoman Robin Kelly was in town Wednesday to hand out Community Project Funding set aside in the fiscal year 2022 federal budget. Kelly’s first stop in Kankakee County was in Pembroke Township where she awarded three-million-dollars for their broadband initiative
Later, Congresswoman Kelly was at the Kankakee Area Career Center where she presented a 175-thousand-dollar check
Matt Kelly is the Executive Director for the Career Center and he says the money is a huge boon for the Center
The Career Center serves some 800 students daily from around Kankakee County.
