Boshears Murder Case Goes to Jury

Final arguments began this morning in Will County Court in the murder trial of Jeremy Boshears. Boshears is charged in the 2017 shooting death of 24 year old Katie Kearns. Kearns’ body was found in the back of her jeep in an outbuilding in St. Anne, where Boshears testified he left it after she shot herself in the head at the Joliet Outlaws Club. In testimony Thursday an expert prosecution witness testified that he could not say if Kearns killed herself or was shot to death by Boshears because no powder burns were found on her hands or head and the murder scene had been destroyed when members of the club cleaned the murder scene wiping out blood spatter stains. The jury is expected to get the case sometime today.
