Elwood post office renamed to honor former State Senator

Members of the US House of Representatives Wednesday voted to name the post office in Elwood, Illinois the “Lawrence M. “Larry” Walsh Senior post office building”. Walsh was a long-time State Senator and held the office of Will County Executive from 2004 until his passing in June of 2020 at the age of 72. The bill to rename the post office was sponsored by Congressman Bill Foster.
