President Biden made a stop in Kankakee Wednesday. Biden visited a Jeff O‘Conner farm in southern Kankakee County, to in his words “pay tribute to the American farmer”. Biden said the government cannot let up in efforts to help farmers and struggling families during this time of high inflation. He also noted broader, ongoing supply chain problems that grew out of the COVID pandemic. Biden also touted efforts by his administration to assist American farmers as they try to alleviate world hunger.

Yesterday was the first time in recent memory a sitting President has visited Kankakee County.
