Preliminary autopsy results on the inmate found unresponsive in the Iroquois County Jail last week have proved to be inconclusive. A press release from the Iroquois County Coroner’s Office says the autopsy on 32-year-old Apolinar Solis Junior of Hoopeston showed “no unidentified natural diseases present and no evidence of significant or internal trauma that caused” Solis death. Solis was found unresponsive in a holding cell at the Iroquois County Jail early Thursday morning and was taken to the hospital where he later died. Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum says a cause of death will have to await the results of toxicology tests which could take several weeks. The Illinois State Police continue to investigate the incident.
