Troopers make arrests in Matteson carjacking

Illinois State Police report three arrests in connection with a carjacking earlier this week in Matteson. According to reports, it was just after six Monday night troopers spotted a car that had been taken at gunpoint in Matteson earlier in the day. Troopers tried to stop the car, but the BMW allegedly took off with the troopers in tow. One person jumped out of the car and was picked up by Country Club Hills police. The chase ended at Governor’s Highway and 183rd where the other two in the car took off on foot. They were captured a short time later. State Police say two firearms were found in the car and all three suspects were turned over to Matteson Police.
