Just a week before Memorial Day and as we head into the summer months, Illinoisians continue to deal with record-high gas prices. Triple-A says the average price for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is running four-dollars, 98 cents. Down slightly from yesterday, but still in record territory. In Kankakee County, triple-A says gas prices are holding steady at 4.87 a gallon, just off last week’s record high of 4.89. Nation-wide, the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead is running 4.59.
