Crown Point man dies in weekend crash

A Crown Point Indiana man is dead following a crash in Crete Township Sunday. The Northwest Indiana Times says 47-year-old Christopher Gerstner was speeding when he came upon traffic stopped for a vehicle waiting to turn and was unable to stop before hitting the back of a Toyota Tundra. Gerstner was initially taken to a Franciscan Health hospital, but he was later flown to University of Chicago Medical Center where he later died of his injuries. Will County Sheriff’s Police continue to investigate the crash.
