Gas prices hit record high….again

The average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is up another nickel across the State of Illinois. Triple-A says gas is averaging 5.31 in the Land of Lincoln, up from yesterday’s average of 5.26 a gallon. In Kankakee County gas has jumped another two cents to 5.10 on average, another record high for the area. Triple-A says gas in Iroquois County is averaging 4.91 a gallon, it’s 5.04 a gallon in Ford County and 4.94 on average in Livingston County. In northwest Indiana Triple-A says gas is running 4.94 on average in Newton County, 5.02 in Jasper County and 4.97 in White County. Nationally, Triple-A says gasoline prices have hit a record 4-76 a gallon, up a nickel from yesterday’s record high.
