Gas prices jump….again

Gas prices continue to surge in Illinois.  Triple A reports it currently costs around five-dollars and 53-cents for a gallon of regular gas.  Up another eight cents overnight. That is a record in Illinois for average price. The cost for a gallon of regular no-lead in the Kankakee area jumped 14 cents overnight to 5.35 on average. It’s 5.55 for a gallon of diesel. Triple-A says gas in Iroquois County is 5.17 a gallon, it’s 5.15 a gallon in Ford County and 5.11 in Livingston county. In Northwest Indiana the cost for a gallon of gas in Newton County average 5.20 a gallon. it’s 5.17 a gallon in Benton County and 5.25 on average in Jasper County. The Nation-wide average for a gallon of regular no-lead stands at four-dollars-95 cents.
