Accused Cop Killer Give Public Defender

After being given some six months to find an attorney 25 year old Darius Sullivan charged with murder in the death of Bradly police Sgt. Marline Rittmanic was given a court appointed lawyer in Kankakee County Court yesterday.  The Daily Journal reports Judge Kathy Bradshaw Elliott took the action after his family failed to find an attorney to take the case.  Rittmanic was shot and killed and her partner was seriously wounded in late December while answering a call at a Bradley hotel that began with a complaint about a barking dog in the parking lot.
