More dangerous heat today

It’s another day of dangerously high temperatures across the area. That excessive heat warning, issued by the National Weather Service Tuesday remains in effect for us until eight o’clock tonight. Temperatures today are expected to push up to near 100 again with the heat index nearing 110. Records were broken across the state yesterday. Health professionals caution you not to spend too much time outside. If you do have to be out, they say you should take frequent breaks, drink plenty of water, wear light colored clothing and don’t forget the sunscreen. It’s also a good idea to check on your neighbors to make sure they’re alright during this heat.
