Bourbonnais Friendship Festival gets underway tonight

Get ready, the 47^th Annual Bourbonnais Friendship Festival gets underway tonight with opening ceremonies at 6 pm at the west stage.  The theme for this year’s fest is Unplug, Connect and Play.  The fest runs through Sunday.  Some of the highlights this year include a butterfly release tomorrow night in honor of fallen Bradley police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic and her injured partner Tyler Bailey.  Friday the Silhouettes play at 7 and there will be fireworks at dusk, Saturday is family day with the Jesse White Tumblers at 7, Sunday features the Grand Parade at 1.
