Street closure in Kankakee starting Monday

The Illinois Department of Transportation wants you to know the Norfolk/Southern Railroad crossing on Route 50 in Kankakee will be closed starting Monday. Repairs on the crossing are expected to take about six days and a detour will be set up taking cars down East Willow and North Greenwood Avenue. If you normally use that crossing to get to and from where you’re going, IDOT suggests you use a different route.
