Kankakee area Experiencing Drought

Hopefully rain this weekend will put a dent in drought conditions spreading across Kankakee County. The US Drought Monitor says most of Kankakee County is experiencing “moderate drought conditions”, along with the eastern 2/3 of Iroquois County, all of Grundy County, most of Kendall County and the southwestern 2/3 of Will County. The drought monitor says Kankakee County hasn’t gotten any significant rain in the past two weeks.
