Herscher Schools Avert Bus Driver Shortage

There will be no staggered start at Herscher schools when the new school year begins later this month.  It was feared that a bus driver shortage would mean some students would be starting their day an hour later than others, but in a press release posted on the districts social media, Herscher school officials say they have been able to hire enough drivers to cover all routes and school for all students will start at 8 am and let out at 3 pm.
