The US Department of Agriculture has announced the recall of some 13-thousand pounds of frozen meat pizza’s distributed by Home Run Inn Frozen Foods, because meat in the pizzas could contain metal. The 33-and-a-half ounce cartons containing “Home Run Inn CHICAGO’S PREMIUM PIZZERIA DELUXE SAUSAGE CLASSIC PIZZA” were produced June 6th of this year with a “best by” date of December third. The problem was discovered when the Woodbridge, Illinois based company reported customer complaints reporting metal found in the pizza. While there have been no confirmed reports of injury from the pizzas, the USDA says you should contact your doctor if you’re concerned about injury or illness. There’s more about the recall HERE.
