Monee death declared homicide

The death of a two-month-old boy in Monee has been ruled a homicide.  Police say first responders were called out August 31st due to an infant who wasn’t breathing at a truck stop on Monee Manhattan Road.  Sevyn Simmons was taken to the hospital, where he died last Friday of blunt force trauma to the head.  The medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
