Social Media Assists in Manteno Burglary Arrest

Kankakee County Sheriff’s police are crediting video taken by the victim and social media for assisting in the arrest of a Rural Manteno man in connection with a burglary in Manteno on August 26^th.   The home owner spotted two men on ATV’s allegedly breaking into a building on his property and recorded the action on his phone.  Police say the subsequent social media posting gave them the names.  After speaking with both men, police say one has been arrested.  64 year old Donald T. Roberts has been charged with theft and criminal trespassing to a building.
