OREP Patrols tonight

The Illinois State Police in Ashkum have announced they’ll conduct Occupant Restraint Enforcement or OREP patrols in Kankakee, Ford and Iroquois Counties tonight. Troopers say the special patrols allow them to focus on seat-belt and child safety seat violations. State Police say half of all traffic fatalities were not properly buckled up during a crash.
