Two killed in shooting at Coal City bar

Two people were killed in a shooting at a bar in unincorporated Coal City over the weekend. Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Gippers Sports Club and Eatery on Pine Bluff Road about 12:30 Saturday morning for a report of shots fired. When they got there Deputies were told there’d been two people shot and both were dead. Grundy County Coroner John Callahan identifies the pair as 25-year-old Dameonta D. Terry-Travis and 33-year-old Darius D. Travis both of Joliet. Callahan says both men died of gunshot wounds. Grundy County Deputies say one firearm was recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made. They ask you call their office if you have any information about the shooting.
