An Indiana State Squad Car was side swiped by a truck early this morning on I-65 just north of Rensselaer. The trooper was blocking the right lane with lights on for a tow truck removing a semi that had been involved in a previous accident. Police say about 5 this morning the car was stuck by a tanker truck. The trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The truck driver, 33 year old Johnathan W. Hanley of Remington was given several traffic violations. The trooper is expected to make a full recovery.
